Tell us about your wild business! What was your inspiration to create Natalie Jackson Wellness?

Natalie Jackson Wellness was created to offer Align Wellness Expedition - A 12-month online community experience to unearth body and lifestyle habits. These habits, derived from Ayurveda and Yoga teachings, allow an individual to self-heal, regain body+mind balance, discover deep rest, nourishment and vibrant energy with group accountability and support. I also integrate the science of behavioral change and identity evolution to propel you into the next version of you. 

Over the last 10+ years as a wilderness instructor on 45 days expeditions (both professional and personally), I would come home, having been on such a high from the amazing experience, and inevitably slide down back into anxiety, mind fog and feeling confused on where my life was headed. So much of who I had become was from lessons in the wilderness and traveling with others. It became noticeable how balanced in mind and body I was on trail but conflicted at home. I shifted. I began to embrace my own power and reclaim my health.  I realized, with so many of us struggling, I needed to combine the outdoors and wellness and share these rejuvenating habits and lifestyle practices with others.

Describe your perfect day as a Wildpreneur.

Rise with the sun in my tiny house or in a tent while traveling with a big glass of water, meditation and walk. Then hop on the computer to help others awake to their instinctual health and have a positive impact in the world. Next I get outside moving my body via SUP, run or a bike ride.  Then I ease into the afternoon to be with friends and family enjoying the golden hour outside and reflecting on the day and feeling grateful to be alive.

What have you learned thus far?

I knew there was a way to harness the natural rhythm I felt being outside for weeks at a time and the challenge was to somehow bring it home. Our limiting beliefs get in the way and hold us back from living the life we dream of.  I’ve also learned that this is my soul path/work! I care very much about others' quality of life.

What do you wish you’d known prior to getting started as a Wildpreneur?

Taking small actions everyday toward my vision is the best way to stay grounded and consistent. And get comfortable with making mistakes!

What advice would you give to someone who is considering turning their passion into a Business?

Go! Do it! You already have the inspiration to get going. Confidence builds along the way. Remember, you are your own biggest fan. Don’t wait for someone else to tell you you’re awesome.

Anything else you’d like to share about your journey?

My journey has never been an A to B trajectory with an end goal. It’s a cycle that spirals up.

A new session with my Align group starts September 8th and enrollment is currently open. My partner and I just finished a 400 mile gravel bike packing trip across the state of Oregon and ready for the next adventure. Maybe another bikepacking trip? :) My dream is to one day offer retreats and adventures - wellness style!

She's known for her bright energy and laugh but is also crazy about smoothies, bike & SUP river adventures, push-ups and sunshine.
